Individual therapy involves one-on-one sessions between a trained therapist and a client seeking support for emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges. Individual therapy provides a safe and confidential space for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, with the goal of improving their mental health and well-being.
During Individual Therapy sessions we collaboratively work towards to goals that the client is trying to achieve, the goals could range from overcoming an obstacle, solving a problem, inculcating skills, navigating through thoughts, emotions, and behavioural patterns and/or aim at improving the overall quality of life. After the Goal Setting happens, we collaboratively and systematically work at incorporating the skills, resources and mental state required to achieve these goals.
Many a times, individuals have the awareness how the things that are working for them and wish to change but they do not really know how, this is exactly where I come in. We work together towards identifying the hindrances that can be in the form of negative automatic thoughts, overwhelming emotions and/or deep-rooted beliefs systems. In individual therapy, we employ various therapeutic techniques and interventions tailored to the client’s specific needs and goals.
