FAQ’S

We have Answered Frequently Asked Questions for you

Therapy is basically an alliance between a professional therapist and a client wherein both work collaboratively to help alleviate the distress that the client has been feeling. The therapist strives to create a safe space for the client by being empathetic, genuine, and non-judgemental and ensuring that the confidentiality is maintained under all circumstances.

The way you would reach out to a doctor when you have fever or aches or any other chronic illness. In the same manner, you reach out to a Psychologist/Psychotherapist when you feel stressed, overwhelmed, lost and/or impairment in your day-to-day functioning. Therapy helps you to learn skills to be able to navigate through these emotions and mental deregulation in a healthy manner.

Everyone can benefit from Therapy. Of course, therapy helps those who feel that things are all wrong. But, therapy is also beneficial for those who wish to grow, gain clarity, and excel both emotionally and professionally.

Therapy may be a good idea for you if you:

  • Need a safe space to share your feelings and concerns.
  • Have been feeling low and no longer enjoy activities you typically did.
  • You find it difficult to build and maintain relationships.
  • Either find yourself fighting excessively or avoiding a lot of what you would like to do otherwise.
  • You get overwhelmed easily and your day-to-day functioning is impaired.
  • Have thought about seeking help.
  • Would like to discover more about yourself and grow as an individual.

Ideally, it may be a good idea to reach out for professional support before a complete nervous or mental breakdown. In other words, you don’t have to and shouldn’t wait for a deadend to actually seek support. Remember a stitch in time saves nine.

All our sessions shall be confidential and the privacy of the clients is of utmost importance in order to create a safe space. Everything discussed during the sessions shall remain between the therapist and client and no information shall be shared with any other individual.

The sessions are not recorded and if need be, due consent shall be taken from the client before doing so. The same shall be applicable for sharing any information for research or educational purposes.

Limitations to Confidentiality

The only circumstance under which the therapist is liable to break the confidentiality is if the client is actively suicidal and/or can be potentially a threat of some other person(s). In such a scenario, the therapist shall discuss this with the client and share information regarding this with a trusted person of the client.

This is a very commonly asked question which unfortunately doesn’t have a clear cut answer. Therapy is a highly subjective process. The concerns, experiences, and environmental factors of each individual are so unique and different from one another.

The length of therapy depends on several factors such as your consistency, the amount of work you do in between sessions and most importantly how much do you want your life to become better.

Broadly speaking, achieving 1 goal takes between 6-8 sessions. Consistency, transparency and readiness for transformation are the keys to therapy. All things I can help you with.

Because therapy is transformational.

We all struggle from time to time. For some it could be relationships, for others it could be their career, for many others it could be both.

Therapy helps us identify the patterns that are not working for us and are hindering our growth. The therapist and client collaboratively work together to break these patterns and felicitate an approach that leads to a fulfilling life.

Additionally, therapy creates a safe space so that we can effortlessly and efficiently navigate through difficult emotions in a healthier manner.

We all deserve to lead a life that is physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually fulfilling and Therapy helps us do exactly that.
